Lower Mars rides into battle with epic new single "Bloodstream"

Spanish indie artist Lower Mars dives deeper into the Axel Stallion mythos with her thunderous, cinematic new single, “Bloodstream.” This potent track is a thrilling advance into the center of ambition, romance, and annihilation, a musical theater of war where excess and neurosis wage relentless battle.

Lower Mars describes “Bloodstream” as an exploration into the darker side of human nature, one where the thirst for power and growth is mired in chaos. The track charges along with a near-militaristic heartbeat, conjuring scenes of triumphant knights riding into battle. Majestic but menacing, its moonlit melodies and roiling rhythms create an immersive soundscape as heroic as it is haunted.

Like its predecessor, Myths Edition builds on the foundation laid by Axel Stallion when reimagining its medieval fantasy world, recontextualizing key moments with newly inked sonic details and greater emotional depth. Tracks like “Fragile (Opponent’s Vision)” and “Lover (Your Night) (Spanish Extended Edition)” provide new takes on familiar themes, while “Magical Boy” and “Poems in the Sunrise” demonstrate Lower Mars’ sensational approach to telegraphing and collapsing genres.

But “Bloodstream” is the song that establishes the mood for this daring new chapter. Sweeping but intimate, it exemplifies the album’s grand vision, where vulnerability and conquest meet, where every note is part of a story of passion and danger. With Axel Stallion Myths Edition, Lower Mars extrapolates and formalizes it into something even more engrossing and wild.
