Aakre's upcoming debut album, Things I Forgot to Tell You, is set for release on 7th February 2025 via Kieku Records, and it promises to be an introspective journey through longing, doubt, and joy. Recorded in her Helsinki studio flat and her family's cottage in southern Finland, 'through' carries an organic warmth that mirrors its intimate origins. Collaborating closely with producer and mixer Roni Ylhäinen, Aakre leaned into analog recording techniques, capturing many final takes on an 8-track multi-tracker. The song's expressive soundscape is further enriched by its string and horn arrangements, provided by her sister, Milla Käyhty.
