Brooklyn, NYC-based indie/jazz/j-pop singer-songwriter Mei Semones is back with a new track, “Dangomushi.”
Described as a creator of a "sweetly evocative blend of jazz, bossa nova, and math-y indie rock," Mei Semones latest single “Dangomushi” lovingly blends together pizzicato guitar, gentle vocals in both English and Japanese, and both violin and viola.
Wistful and whimsical, Semones sings ‘tell me your favourite things / lead me to better days / give me only what you want to give / spare me / spare me’, creating a sense of gentle hopefulness throughout the song.
