Rising pop folk artist Nosila shares emotive visuals for “Halfway,” tapping into a mood of seclusion to match up with escapist undertones of the instrumentals. With ambient notes that transform into a soulful melody, the track pairs acoustic guitars and heartfelt vocals, the track is rich and powerful as it weaves a thoughtful vibe.
Complimenting the suspenseful yet tender stylings of the track, the video shot in the tropical paradise of Bali, depicts Nosila passionately performing in various picturesque scenes, evoking a spirited, invigorating feeling of escapism.
Speaking of the track, he says “The inspiration for the video came because it’s my favourite place to stay in Bali. It’s a surfers shack (I'm not a surfer) that takes about 5 minutes to walk down to a rock mountain/cliff edge. It's completely secluded and isolated (monkeys are the biggest issue). It’s one of the best places to feel like you’ve escaped the outside world. The feeling evoked from being there really matched the meaning/feeling behind the song.”
The solo project of South Australian multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, Simon Hatch, the mark of his moniker is rooted in deeply personal sonic narratives led by thoughtful songwriting and evocative instrumentation that navigates emotional complexities to lead us towards healing.
