Frria has shared a new album, titled Shy Boy Change. Frria is a dynamic Madeiran-Guyanese artist from Scarborough, Toronto, playing otherworldly songs about the 21st-century human condition by combining the intimacy of his multi-award-winning writing style with three octaves of vividly expressive vocals ranging from warmly resonant lows to piercing ethereal heights. His latest offering, Shy Boy Change, is a versatile journey through expansive soundscapes and heartfelt narratives that immerses one in a vibrant listening experience. With a set of soulful, rich songs that consists of 8 singles he has released over the last few months, sequenced in album form.

Throughout Shy Boy Change, Frria combines ethereal instrumentation with grounded, potent grooves for an infectious listen. "Forgetting Names" is a vivid track that blends enticing percussion and raw, intense guitars with cathartic vocals, to an invigorating effect. "Say Dunno" introduces acoustic elements, with breezy guitar lines and heartfelt vocals that showcase Frria's introspective side, while "Swimming"'s atmospheric grit makes for a diverse offering that incorporates hip-hop elements. "thank u, Bino"'s sleek flows and booming 808s make for a powerful closer, finishing Shy Boy Change with a poignant energy that sticks with the listener after the album's completion.

Frria's latest finds the Scarborough artist delivering a set of vital, catchy tracks that smoothly combine flourishes of alt-pop, alternative R&B, hip-hop, and more to make for a refreshing listen.
