We shouldn't worry but we should tune in and listen!
So, when you think of the Cleveland megastar Kid Cudi, you think of a specific melodic harmony and feel to his records that can't be duplicated. He executes it effortlessly, making him such a brilliant artist and musician. Over the years we've all sung and loved Cudi’s melodic style of how he raps; it serenades us in a way that lets us know he’s different. This record displays this well, and when you hear it, you think, “I’m glad Kid Cudi still sounds like himself.” This reminds us of his niche; the record carries good energy and the visuals fit the record well as well. The production and lyrics sync sonically with the drums and what sounds like a guitar may be in the background. In the first verse, he starts with an interesting rhyme pattern and flows but he entwines harmonization within it as well making it feel diverse from a lot of the music being dropped today.
He’s letting us know he’s alright and he’s still grinding, but he's okay. To see him in the light and that though his lifestyle may be intense (well he is an A-list celebrity) the art completely covers him. The melody on the chorus completely entices you and will probably be the part we use as an identifying point for the song. I can see a ton of people singing the chorus over and over. It seems like a basic record, but shows and has a lot of depth artistically but it's also very catchy. Which is one element of making a song you want to do well on the mainstream level.
The Chip Tha Ripper collaboration is pretty inspiring! Seemingly the artistic bond that they've shared earlier in their career is continuing to show its connection in 2024. They have chemistry and seemingly possibly a history. It shows that the music might be deeper than just music and the collaboration might be a respect and friendship thing. Chip’s verse was solid, he added his energy and his perspective. He lets us know he’s still shining and on his grizzly. He carries the concept of the track while displaying his unique lyrical prowess and flow. Usually, when he delivers it's a verse, he stamps himself on the record and he’s always an addition to a great song.
All in all, “Don't Worry” is an amazing piece of art, it's a refreshing style and the energy of the song does well. It sounds large and full, definitely is carrying soundtrack type of vibes. I always enjoy what Kid Cudi drops, but this was crisp.
