Emerging Chicago-based artist Noor is carving a niche as an artist who braves the odds as an outlier in the music game. His latest single "Popstar" is a celebratory anthem that looks at his journey from the bottom to the top. Over the sublime and atmospheric synths and soft bouncy groove, Noor shares his tale of overcoming adversity with a melancholic melodic tone which soars into triumphant in the chorus section. His expressive flow is engaging but more importantly, his timeless message of authenticity takes the cake. Joining him on the track is a fellow Chi-town artist Marko Stat$ who gives his side of the story and adds a different perspective.
Noor (Noorani Pirani) comes from a Muslim family and his journey into music serves as a way for him to break the stigma of the religion and culture as he strives to show the positive elements it had on his life and also to inspire audiences to never cower in the face of adversity.
