The album is a personal exploration of life’s journeys and the lessons learned along the way, with the band describing it as a “winding journey of introspection”- urging listeners to break free from their routines and embrace new experiences. “It’s a call to step out and explore horizons you’ve dreamed of,” the band explains, "along the way, you will encounter motivation, disillusionment, success and failure. But at the end, it's up to you to hear the world your way." Blending dreamy tones, melodic riffs and hazy, psychedelic textures and distinctive vocal textures, the album brings modern rock ideas to the table with a retro feel and a heavy dose of nostalgia.
Formed in 2012 by high school friends Alex (guitar/vocals) and Julien (guitar), along with Gaël (bass) and Lucas (drums), Mindless Crowd began with covers of rock legends like Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. Their transition to original music, inspired by artists such as Dire Straits and Gorillaz, has resonated with fans, amassing over 150,000 listens on Spotify.
Following successful live performances and the acclaim of their debut EP, 'Wanderlust' promises to cement Mindless Crowd’s place in the rock scene.
