Emerging singer/producer Piqi Miqi takes us back to the 80's in his latest offering "Toxic Funkulinity." The self-produced track is a play on the concept of toxic masculinity and sexual fantasy and sees Piqi Miqi channeling the combined spirit of Prince, Michael Jackson, and The System. Over a rich soundscape comprising throbbing bass synths, sizzling leads, and an irresistible funk arrangement, Miqi delivers a not-so-subtle sensual performance, aimed at unveiling the rawest basic instinct known to mankind. Armed with slick sultry vocals with piercing tones, Miqi paints a vivid image with lines like "When I shoot, reload I'm gonna fill you up/To the roof, explode I rearrange your guts, I'm cruel, I know but you're the perfect slut" and ties it up with a resounding chorus that takes audiences to the climax.

The accompanying visual directed by Shubham Patel, follows the misadventures of an old hunch-backed scientist who, upon creating a youth serum in his laboratory, turns into an attractive young man and attends a rave to test out his new body. Upon meeting a beautiful raver, his youth serum starts to wear off and drama ensues. Overall, the visual has a throwback ambiance, reminiscent of the 80s including the flashing lights, gaudy costumes, and moody industrial-like settings.

Born and raised in the US, Piqi Miqi moved overseas to Prague, Czech Republic in the 2010s where he made it on his own far away from home. Piqi Miqi paved his lane in Prague's alternative culture by bringing diverse sounds to the music scene, throwing underground parties that blended fashion and music, and spreading it to those he met.
