Fresh from a roster of sessions, which includes rising stars Callum Beattie and Rianne Downey, Riverside Music TV – known for highlighting up-and-coming artists from the UK and beyond- has announced their latest live session performance, bringing Glasgow alt-rock three-piece Fatherson to the stage.
The trio delivered three of their favourite tracks in an exclusive RMTV performance, including “Making Waves,” from their third album, Sum of All Your Parts, “Crying Wolf,” from their latest project, Normal Fears, and their latest single “Piece of Mind,” a track that sees the band take their anthemic indie-rock sound down a more dark and brooding route.
Speaking of the band’s sound and songwriting process, they say “The songwriting dynamic changes all the time. Sometimes, I'll have a full song, and I'll bring it to them, and then we'll arrange it together. Sometimes I'll have a couple of chords, and we'll bash it around. The most effective way that we've ever done it is just to get into a room and play as loud as you can. And then, if you still remember what you played, then it was probably good.”
Consisting of Ross Leighton, Marc Strain, and Greg Walkinshaw, Fatherson who continue to push the boundaries of genre are all set to draw us into a euphoric yet introspective world with their upcoming record.
