BhramaBull continues trajectory with potent 'Evolution 5' album

BhramaBull's most recent addition to his blazing Evolution series, Evolution 5, finds the hard-working Los Angeles-by-way-of-Philadelphia producer further exploring his cinematic, epic sound alongside a talented cast of collaborators including Big Twins, Raz Fresco, DUNN, and more. Ever-prolific, and showing no signs of slowing down, BhramaBull has already been on a run this year with collaborative projects with the likes of Black Soprano Family's Degree, Tylr C, $adflcko, and more. His potent offering Evolution 5 contains a set of expansive, hard-hitting instrumentals that combine gritty, pounding rhythms with ethereal flourishes for intriguingly layered soundscapes.

On Evolution 5, BhramaBull brings forth eclectic variety while also staying authentic to his signature sound- an expressive blend of psychedelic sampling and grounded, booming rhythm sections. Opener "Barrio Logan", with Big Twins and Reek Osama, exemplifies this with its lush waves of vibrant samples laced atop cathartic drums and immense bass. The instrumentation suits the powerful, present deliveries of Big Twins and Reek Osama cohesively. He also shines on more subdued, jazzy soundscapes, such as "Shop A Deal" with Waterr, which builds hypnotic, smoky loops alongside Waterr's smooth flows. "Fly", with PhillNRich and The Musalini conjures an atmosphere of triumph with its layered, airy sampling, potent percussion, and sharp, sleek verses from the emcees. Evolution 5 manages to cover a lot of ground sonically while also presenting a cohesive, focused set of tracks that demonstrate a natural chemistry between BhramaBull and his collaborators.

Evolution 5 continues the Los Angeles-based producer's trajectory with a cinematic set of poignant, raw boom-bap cuts.
