One of the most powerful and unique singles we've heard this year and a testament to her songwriting guile, Lila Tristram has just shared her stunning new single "Baby". She deftly combines her signature atmospheric folk with a more robust indie-rock influence. "Baby" is a masterclass in conveying heartache, delivered through a driving rhythm that compels listeners to dance, even as the lyrics tug at their heartstrings.

With Heledd Owen (Prima Queen, Adwaith) on drums and Tim Gardner (Ry X) on synth, the instrumental arrangement adds depth and intensity to the song, enhancing its emotional resonance. Co-produced by Gus White and mastered by Tim Debney, the track is polished yet poignant, highlighting Tristram's talent for creating music that is both deeply personal and universally relatable.

“All my songs are so sad. I wanted to write a song which would get people dancing.” Lila Tristram

Tristram’s vulnerability shines through in "Baby," capturing the essence of longing and sorrow in a way that is both haunting and beautiful. This single not only sets the stage for her forthcoming album but also solidifies her place in the indie music scene as an artist capable of transforming pain into anthemic beauty.
