Daniel Saad shares potent new project 'It All Matters'

Montreal-based rapper and songwriter Daniel Saad is a man who has been led by the spirit and doesn't shy away from his religious tenets. His music reflects his spiritual path and how he finds a way to balance faith and the temptations often related to secular activities.

His latest project It All Matters, is a 15-track body of work that explores his life from all angles. He employs modern sounds such as hip-hop, dark trap and future R&B styles as his canvas but the message he delivers is clear. Daniel gives audiences on a journey that covers loss, self-awareness, faith, love and coming to terms with one's past. It's not all dark and sombre as anthemic tracks like "Blessed Forever" celebrate the small mercies and wins while paying homage to God in the same breath. The track employs a hard-hitting trap vibe and sounds nothing like what you'd expect from a Gospel song but that seems to be the kicker. He dives into the matters of the heart on “Searching”, a reflective tune that explores failed relationships and comes to the conclusion that maybe he is the problem after all. He is joined by vocalist Jessyka K who peppers the track with soul-stirring melodic runs. In "Walking In Peace", Daniel talks about finding true peace while facing mental health challenges. Overall, Daniel Saad delivers an interesting project that covers a wide variety of topics and most importantly gives audiences a chance to walk with him on this ongoing journey that parallels his Christian faith with life's shortcomings and social pressure.
