Manchester indie artist Jack Hyphen is back with his vibrant new single, "Not Medicinal." Jack has steadily built a loyal fanbase with his intricate songwriting and radiant musicianship, starting his journey as the frontman of the Herefordshire indie/ rock band Point Zero. After the band’s breakup, he released acoustic singles and by mid-2019, he transitioned to a four-piece alternative pop/rock outfit, adding a dynamic and atmospheric edge to his sound.
"Not Medicinal" highlights this natural evolution, with intricate guitar lines, atmospheric modulation, and reverb, all layered over powerful drums and a driving bassline. Jack’s emotive vocal delivery blends energetic undercurrents with an ethereal touch, creating a unique and accessible soundscape.
Reflecting on the track, Jack says, “I am going back to my alternative rock roots with this song, written over 5 years ago but revamped as my style has developed. It’s a reminder that the illusions in my mind will fade away and are not reality.”
