North Carolina based pop rock musical collective Fifth Floor has just unleashed their sophomore single release. Called "Eyes On Me", the song follows their debut slow-burning gem "i h8 ur boyfriend" shared last year.
With "Eyes On Me", the four piece have concocted a deeply enticing sonic whirlwind. Beginning with thrilling drums, the song soon incorporates funk-fueled bass and indie rock reverb tinted guitars filling the listener to the brim with their transformative sound. Lead singer Elijah Edwards voice is authentic and his warm hued delivery inviting. The track narrates a deep desire to be with the one who holds their affection. Lyrics including "What can I do for your attention / I want you to see me / Love me / Tell me that I′m everything," show an intense and unrequited love. A deep yearning is felt throughout the track as the singer asks for his chance at love.
Fifth Floor is composed of members Elijah Edwards (lead vocals, guitar), Joshua Wilson (keys, bass), Trey Pavlik (drums) and PJ Patterson (violin, guitars). Influenced by the likes of Coin, The 1975, Five Seconds of Summer, and Paramore, Fifth Floor creates their own rock meets pop elevated and expansive sound.
