West London-based artist Mobi1's story is a tale of perseverance in the face of tragedy. After surviving an unfortunate explosion just before the global lockdown, the artist looked within to find his true self using music as a vehicle to channel his thoughts and push himself beyond just being a victim. A relentless performer, MOBI1 has more than a dozen live shows under his belt and a handful of interviews highlighting his extraordinary story. Now he returns with something new as he delivers a stunning performance titled "Joey Clipstar Freestyle". Bolstered by the energetic and bass-heavy soundscape provided by production duo Katmandu and Wadizdis, MOBI1 proceeds to rap like the rent is due and he makes mincemeat of the beat with his impassioned flow and well-crafted lyricism. Far from glorifying anything negative, he focuses on the positives and his struggles through the crazy times while paying homage to some influential figures in the music game who helped him along the way.
