London-based folk singer Fran Lusty caught our ears with her new single "Stronger Than Most", a mellow folk ballad that is inspired by her brother's experience at the hands of bullies in school. Bolstered by a warm and rich guitar arrangement with minimalistic grooves, Fran delivers a soulful piece ripe with distinctive melodic runs and uplifting and thoughtful lyrics such as "Don't listen to them/don't believe what they say/you're stronger than most/you've been through the worst". The record also comes with a nostalgia-inducing lyric visual that blends old video clips and photos with lyrics.
"Stronger Than Most" is her latest single to be nominated for BBC Introducing's Track of the Week.
Fran released her first single, "Ladybird" in January 2021, which she wrote at her grandmother's cabin in Norway. It was mostly for her friends to listen to but quickly gained traction from a wider audience, which encouraged her to keep releasing and now she can't stop.
