Fast-rising alt-pop talent Kai Bosch shares euphoric number “Bodybag,” tracing a vicious argument with an ex and the immediate aftermath of it. Tapping into the idea of “ignorance is bliss” the emotionally intense production manages to balance fragility with a fond brightness.
With a rich musicality complimented by his soaring vocals and poignant song writing, the vivid track was co-written with APRE’s Jules Konieczny and co-produced by Konieczny and Brit Award and Mercury Prize-winning producer Charlie Andrew.
A delicate and airy anthem that encapsulates the pain of not wanting to let go your first long-term relationship while also allowing the memories and beauty of past love to shine through, the track accompanied by a moving video directed by Alex Deitsch.
Speaking of the track, Bosch says, "The song is both the most straightforward yet also most emotionally cutting song I’ve released so far, writing from a much more weathered perspective on the slow and painful breakdown of a deep love between two people, but at the same time still desperately holding onto something that has long turned sour.”
With an intricate artistry that articulates strong feelings with a genre-bending musicality, Bosch who has had a busy year on the live circuit is set to support Gretel Hanlyn on her upcoming UK/EU tour as well as a number of other festival dates as he continues to cement himself as a captivating act.
