Saint Ahmad is a pivotal figure in the New York club scene who is bringing queer culture to the forefront of his music. His latest single "MINDS" is an ode to the LGBTQ+ club kids, new and old, who have fostered a safe haven for self-expression. From icons like RuPaul and Leigh Bowery, to rising New York contemporaries including his friends and collaborators musician Apollo and drag queen Syrennara, "MINDS" is a celebration of art in every shape and form.

"MINDS" draws influence from rave culture and will get your pulse racing with a distinct mix of fleeting beats, high-intensity intergalactic electronics, and a jaw-dropping vocal that will release all your inhibitions. A deeply personal track for Saint Ahmad, "MINDS" chronicles his journey of self-acceptance and letting go of expectations. He sings, "Can't wait to get my mind all freed up." On the song he adds, " I let go of a lot of my past trauma from allowing myself to really just be present in the space and just dance and let go. I wanted to channel that with this song and I wanted to encourage the listenster to let go and 'get out of your mind'. You can't live your entire life inside of your head."

The music video, directed and filmed by Joe Cohen, is a vibrant voyage through the streets of NYC as Saint Ahmad and fellow club kids Apollo and Syrennara paint the town. Inspired by footage of RuPaul, Saint Ahmad honors the legacy of former LGBTQ+ artists while forging his own path with a decadent array of originality. Director Joe Cohen adds, "I brought a lot of 90s club kid references to the video, coming from London and UK, it was an homage to club and fashion legends like Leigh Bowery, also the FIY punky spirit of making the video in a very lo-fi technique that were present in analogue videos from the 80s / 90s. It's a fun collaboration with Ahmad and a new generation of NYC club kids, and where these two worlds collide. Trippy, weird, trashy and DIY, this was the vibe we were going for."

For Saint Ahmad, music has always been his chosen medium of healing through self-expression. Most recently, he collaborated with the one and only Lolita Leopard on his recent club single "LGC". He weaves his abstract affinity for art into everything he creates, creating a liberating experience for his listeners. "MINDS" is Saint Ahmad's new single from his forthcoming EP. Watch and listen to "MINDS" for a cathartic, collective purge of past mental blocks that will propel you forward into your true identity.
