Multiple award-winning Nigerian singer, songwriter and musician Bella Shmurda shot to fame in 2020 with the breakout single "Vision 2020" followed by back-to-back EPs, High Tension and High Tension 2.0 which culminated in his 2022 critically acclaimed debut album Hypertension. With a string of collaborations and singles under his belt, the Nigerian act returns to the forefront with his new single/video "In Charge" taken from his DND EP. The track is a hypnotic track sees Bella in braggadocious mode as he reminds us that he is still in charge, doing his own thing, and still the boss of his destiny.
The visuals follow Bella as he goes back to his roots while celebrating his newfound success and fame with his brothers in the trenches.
The DND EP marks the beginning of a unique new musical universe for Bella Shmurda shaped by his frame of mind for 2023, which has been described by the man himself as his “do not disturb mode”. Bella’s DND EP comes less than a year on from the massive success of his acclaimed debut album Hypertension. The 6 track project sees him working with long-time collaborator and producer LarryLanes, Krizbeatz,Rewardbeatz and Pheelz. Originally created as an avenue to give his teeming fans some new music while he works on his next album, Bella Shmurda’s DND project quickly took on a life of its own to capture Bella’s headspace of “do not disturb” right now.
