Colorado based rising teen singer/songwriter Riley Max has unveiled her debut single and it is an irresistible one. Called "Blue", the track is one of the highlights from her newly shared nine track album ROY G BIV.
With "Blue", Riley Max crafts a song all about the overflow of emotions following a breakup. From sad feelings of loss and regret, to introspective reflections on past decisions, "Blue" is a poetic expression of looking back at a past moment of connection. Lyrics include, "and when you held my hand / my dear it felt so grand / I never thought there'd be another / I guess we both lied to each other / when I said I'd never leave." Musically, the song features soulful Jazz-soaked vocals, mood-drenched keys and a pop-laden chorus that is both enthralling and powerful. The timeless ballad is a standout genre- defying musical moment complete with a blazing saxophone to boot. The music video features Riley singing and performing the piano with a sax player at Claver Hall in Regis University.
