Sumi X follows her heart in "Bad Decisions"

Indian/American pop riser Sumi X has just shared her latest single. Called "Bad Decisions", the track follows her debut single release "Electric Baby" shared in April.

With "Bad Decisions" Sumi X makes a bold and important statement about following your heart and not letting society define you. For the songwriter, the single is an autobiographical narrative about finding her own freedom and standing up to cultural expectations that don't align with how she feels. Lyrics including, "I'm ready to make some bad decisions / I am ready to kill off these expectations / I never thought I'd find myself / after all the tears," show that Sumi X has fearlessly abandoned what doesn't suit her and she is ready for the next and new exciting chapter in her life. Musically, "Bad Decisions" features soul-baring vocals singing evocative lyrics and layered decadent harmonies. Slow-burned candy coated synths underlay Sumi X's unparalleled gorgeous singing for an alluring musical release.

Sumi X is the musical project of Pittsburgh, PA born and bred Sumi Krishnan. As a teen, Sumi studied Jazz vocals and trumpet. As an adult, Sumi threw herself into the corporate world and started her own 200+ IT company to massive success. Her dream was always to become an artist though and her musical career has blossomed in just a couple of years. Take a listen to "Bad Decisions" now and remember to follow your heart.
