New York City producer Dub Sonata recently put out his latest compilation album Tranquilizer Dart which is out now on Vinyl/CD via Man Bites Dog Records and he is back with the visuals for the song "Cold Alliance". The track which serves as the opener to the aforementioned compilation sees the producer teaming up with his longtime collaborator Double A.B for a hard-hitting no-holds-barred affair. The aptly titled track is made up of solemn piano and moody strings over soft drums and a staccato bassline to boot. Double A.B also lends a solid vocal assist with a plethora of engaging and off-kilter rhyme schemes and unfiltered lyrics. He sure goes off the Richter scale and even gives us a glimpse of paranoia and wit with lines like "I'm more suspicious of fraudulent bitches than all the snitches and the nosy neighbours pouring through my business/Yeah I do drugs but it's prescripted/I twist myself a big spliff and try to reach Nirvana when I hit it".
The video filmed by Last Call Steve follows Double A.B through different spots in his hometown and makes use of performance shots and numerous clips that showcase the dark alleys and streets.
