On the production tip, Diamond D crafts a blaxploitation-type cinematic soundscape made up of brass stabs, layered guitar riffs and driving drum grooves glued by warm basslines and urgent textures and to complete the job he throws in some solid vocal scratches of the legendary Slick Rick. Dillon and Elzhi waste no time in setting up the verbal attack as each emcee take positions with Dillon leading the charge with his mellow flow and use of boxing references followed by Elzhi's slick wordplay with lines like "It beats me why I would beat around the bush/You beat me to the punch, beating yourself up because you didn't beat it".
