Melbourne-based singer/producer/songwriter Ceeko is s student of the '90s/'00s R&B/soul era which helped informed his style which he has taken a step further with his own unique twist. As he prepares to release his forthcoming sophomore EP The Juice he drops the first single "Contact High" which is co-produced by Ivan Choi. The record is an interesting look at the smoking culture from his own perspective. On the track, Ceeko implores us to show love and accept people for being different and just letting people live their lives. Over the groovy and dreamy backdrop, Ceeko reminds us on the track that while he doesn't smoke, he is not bothered by people who do as he is surrounded by them and the following lines “And if the wind blows that shit my way, what you ‘gon do, well I guess I gotta breathe damn” pretty much sums it up.
While most of Ceeko’s catalogue consists of moody R&B and heartbreak anthems, "Contact High" is a refreshing change that encompasses Ceeko’s sonic journey since the release of his highly acclaimed debut EP Where Do We Begin [2020].
