The Itchyworms, a Filipino band known for their catchy pop-rock tunes, have recently released a single titled "Panic in my Mind". The track opens up with a bang, and then progresses with raw and emotional vocals.

The instrumentation is key in conveying the emotional intensity of the song. As the song progresses, the instrumentation builds, with the addition of drums, bass, and guitar, creating a sense of urgency and chaos. The bridge is a standout moment in the song, with the vocals reaching a higher register, emphasizing the overall vibe. The track brings to life the never-ending thoughts of a fairy tale ending with that special someone. Incorporating a retro pop rock melody into a groovy bass line completes its upbeat and classic sound, while the accompaniment perfectly layers in lyrics that talk about pining over someone in a world where they are the anomaly.

The Itchyworms are one of the busiest and most visible acts in the Philippine rock music scene today. Their success is no surprise, as their passion for music, and highly professional work ethic is evident in their craft. Their songs have consistently topped the local music charts and breached international markets due to its fresh yet familiar sounds. The band’s popularity has brought them to stages across the Philippines,  as well as Dubai and Singapore, with an eagerness to showcase their brand of Filipino music in other countries. Kicking off their U.S. tour in New York, American fans will have the opportunity to catch the group live for the first time in select market cities in California, Texas, Illinois, and Nevada.

The song delivers The Itchyworms signature upbeat and catchy sound that the band is known for.  It shows that the band is willing to explore different musical avenues and experiment with their sound. This willingness to evolve is admirable and bodes well for the band's future releases.

“Panic in my Mind" is a powerful and timely release from The Itchyworms. The song is a poignant commentary with captivating vocals, and intense instrumentation all come together to create a moving piece of music that will leave a lasting impact on listeners.

The song is not only an excellent addition to The Itchyworms' discography but also a welcome contribution to the larger work of Indie Rock.
