CHIC CHOC's new single  "Freedom" is a vibrant and uplifting track that combines elements of funk, disco, and soul to create a sound that is both retro and fresh. The track features infectious riffs, and soulful vocals that are sure to get listeners moving.

The track opens with a funky riff that sets the tone for the rest of the song. CHIC CHOC's lead vocals then enters with a smooth and soulful delivery, singing about the power of freedom and the importance of living life on one's own terms. The lyrics are simple but effective, and the catchy chorus is sure to get stuck in your head.

It’s an anthem for bringing on change, written with the intention to bring light to the constant battle for women's rights. Each of the cities they sing about have particular instances associated with them where women were treated unjustly.

The song is about women’s rights around the world, but specifically brings attention to the recent Iran protests that have sparked in the aftermath of the killing-in-custody of the 22 year old Mahsa Amini.

As the song progresses, CHIC CHOC's bandmates showcase their musical talents not only in performance but songwriting as well. The overall sound is reminiscent of classic disco and funk, but with a modern twist that keeps things fresh and exciting.

The track is both technically impressive and emotionally charged. It's a reminder that, at its core, "Freedom" is a song about hope and change.

CHIC CHOC is an electronic music project from Connie Yin, Neda Zahraie and Christina Crossin. The idea of a collaborative ensemble between these longtime music veterans was conceived in late 2018 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and actualized in February of 2019 at a very first band meeting/rehearsal in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The trio composes all the songs using drum machines, synthesizers, bass guitar, voice and a variety of sound filters and pedals.

Overall, CHIC CHOC's "Freedom" is a dreamy and sultry track that is sure to put a smile on your face. The group's infectious energy and musical talents are on full display, and the lyrics are a reminder that sometimes the most important thing in life is to let go and have fun. If you're a fan of disco, funk, or soul, then this is definitely a track that you won't want to miss.
