On May 27, Toronto-based singer-songwriter Jake Beck released "Shine"—an infectious indie rock tune fuelled by vocal melodies and soft piano keys. The song was Beck's second release, until September 2, 2022 – when he released the acoustic version of the track.
Stripping back the song until only the vocals and acoustic guitar remain, "Shine – Acoustic Version" sticks to the infectious melodies – without, of course, a few elements that will be missed. Although the track misses out on some of the vocal backing and piano, it's mean its match in the original. One song with two different moods, Jake Beck's "Shine" is perfect for any occasion. And as an indie rock artist, this kind of versatility can only be in his favour.
