LAIVY shares a soundtrack for the winter season with "Snow Days"

LAIVY has shared a fresh new offering called "Snow Days". A 17-year-old emerging artist from New York City, he is the son of Grammy®-nominated singer, songwriter, and rapper Matisyahu and spent his early years between Crown Heights Brooklyn, Los Angeles, and living on a tour bus. Surrounded by music and musicians, it was just a matter of time before he discovered his voice and started building his own music with GarageBand. His purpose in life became channeling his experiences and feelings into songs. In Los Angeles, he has recorded his first songs for release with producer Aiden Laprete (The Wilds) and mixed by Elijah Marrett-Hitch (Justin Bieber, The Kid LAROI). He most recently embarked on a U.S. national tour to over 50 markets opening for Matisyahu this Summer and Fall. Steadfastly building his catalog with each incremental substantive record, the teenager is truly just beginning his journey. His latest release, "Snow Days", makes for an apt soundtrack to these winter months with its expansive, chilly sound.

"Snow Days" is immersive and laid-back in sound, demonstrating LAIVY's infectious songwriting through textural guitars, crisp percussion, and sharply-crafted, memorable vocal melodies. Tackling a euphoric experience through a gonzo-journalistic approach, LAIVY has returned with a quintessential offering for the winter season. Interspersing elements of youthful romance, forged with the seemingly invincible sensations that a serendipitous snow day can bring.

Regarding the new single, LAIVY says, “‘Snow Days’ represents a sovereign idea of freedom to me. Where the youth is able to take a break from the seemingly ‘9 to 5’ corporate indoctrination of being in a classroom and are free.. in whatever form that may exist to the listener. Free to love. Free to make art. Free to sleep in. As we get older in life, our ability to experience these unadulterated manifestations of innocence seemingly slip from our grasp. For kids like myself, ‘Snow Days’ is a special journal entry to delineate a moment of time that is simplistically pure.”

"Snow Days" follows up a prolific 2022 for LAIVY, which included engaging singles such as "Beauty and the Beast", "Fake Friends", and more. Making for a solid start to the year for LAIVY, the emotive track demonstrates his versatile sound and focused songwriting and has us excited for what may be coming next from him.
