Mallika Vie wonders "DUFA?" in latest single

Soul meets R&B singer Mallika Vie has just shared her latest emotional new slow-burned single. Called "DUFA?", the single is the first of the year from this rising Boston based singer/songwriter.

With "DUFA?", Mallika Vie tells the relatable and autobiographical story of a one-sided friendship. From always being there for someone to constantly reaching out first, "DUFA?" is a deeply poignant narrative of asking the other if they feel ashamed for their behavior as a terrible friend. Lyrics including, "you say you call / but you never will / I don't think that I have more to say / you'll never change / do you feel ashamed when you think of me," recounts the sadness and feelings of being let down by someone she once called a friend. This person has not and will not change and Mallika Vie is calling them out and letting them go. Featuring slinky synths, an elevated soul-drenched falsetto and downtempo intoxicating beats, "DUFA?" is an enthralling alt R&B banger.

Mallika Vie is a singer, songwriter and producer who began sharing music in 2020. Influenced by the likes Snoh Aalegra, Steve Lacy, and SiR, Mallika Vie creates her own introspective soulful pop R&B releases. She is currently studying musical production at Berklee College of Music to further perfect her craft. Take a listen to "DUFA?" now and remember to let go of those that don't serve you.
