Songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Hotel Ugly delivers crisp indie pop anthem “Action Figures Fighting,” tinged with lush R&B tones and chilled hip-hop beats all of which come together elevate his solid vocal quality.

Balancing a fun-filled and pleasing mood with touches of melancholia, the track lets the rising star’s vocals to take centre stage laid upon warm and layered harmonies alongside introspective song writing. With an earworm indie pop signature woven by nuances from other genres, Mike Vince under the moniker of Hotel Ugly has managed to garner impressive streams and an ever-expanding fanbase through his intricately created sonic world.

Speaking of the production process behind the track, Vince says, “My producer friends and I were all goofing around in the studio one day when we all grabbed an object that made some sort of sound and started jamming. We shook, tapped, jiggled and strummed these objects and instruments until we created this beauty that we now call Action Figures Fighting.”

With this spontaneous number unveiling the flexibility of his artistry, Hotel Ugly looks set to build towards a big year.
