Boston and Providence collide in this epic collaboration as rappers Bugsy H and Lord Willin team up for "Berkley Heist." The record produced by IIario (for IFC Productions) sets the tone perfectly with its soulful textures made up of orchestral textures, violins and soft brass stabs with mellow percussions. Lord Willin kicks things off with graphic lyrical schemes detailing a verbal heist filled with plot twists and a handful of characters who are in it to win it. Bugsy follows up with his own breakdown of the situation where he and his team carry out the perfect heist, taking the mark for all they got.
The song is accompanied by a cinematic and well-crafted storyboard crafted by D Gomez Films that blends performance shots of both rappers and a heist that takes place in a seedy underground club. At the end of it all, the duo and the squad pull it off and cement their street credibility with the lines "Looking fresh like some old school G's/off the block, man, you know our steez".
"Berkley Heist" is taken from the collaborative project entitled IFC Classics.
