“Make It Out” is the latest single from rising Toronto-based producer Futurewave who has teamed up with Upstate New York mic murderer Eto. The duo is currently working on a deadly collaboration titled Dead Poets, and the single sure set the tone with its cinematic and brooding soundscape and hard-hitting bars.
The track's title is not by mistake as Eto delivers a riveting performance ripe with soul-stirring and vivid bars that look deep into the unpredictable variables that life sometimes presents to you. Lines like " It started home then I had to train old beginners/It's never too late but if they don't consider/Time flies, they gonna have to wait on the winner" see him taking steps to stay on his goals and minding his Ps and Qs. He followed this with a harrowing chorus that details the rough life and the struggles of trying to make it out of the hood in one piece. Also joining the fray is hard-nosed rapper Daniel Son who shares his own experiences and it's far from sweet.
“Make It Out” is the second single off Eto and Futurewave's collaborative project.
