DIY indie rock/punk duo Yawn Mower drop visuals for fuzzed out number “Elevation,” taken from their recently released debut album To Each Their Own Coat. A dense production built upon organs, synths and drums backed by their signature baritone, the track is elevated by the cinematic expanse of the visuals.
Shot as a continuous, one-take music video, the video which attempts to pay homage to films like Goodfellas, Birdman, The Shining, and Touch of Evil, balances intricacy with chaos as the two-piece show off their ability to tap into the compelling stories behind mundane moments.
Featuring every guest who has appeared on the album from employees to customers, the video with its hazy, slow-mo quality honed in on the act’s DIY style, bringing a dreamy feel to life around a normal work day.
Consisting of Mike Chick and Biff Swenson, Yawn Mover which formed back in 2015 have grown steadily with their powerful yet laid-back artistry making consistent waves in Jersey’s music scene.
