Heavy metal act Zulu pays homage to ATCQ with new thrasher "Where I'm From" [Video]

The up-and-coming LA heavy metal band Zulu pays homage to A Tribe Called Quest and to their fellow screaming cohorts Pierce Jordan & Ubioma Ugonna with a stellar new music video.

Zulu is the tribe that cannot be stopped.

After a bountiful year of live shows, growing their musical circle, and playing their first festival in Pasadena at This Ain't No Picnic, LA-based hardcore group Zulu is gearing up for better things.

"We’ve been here  And we ain’t going nowhere" perfectly describes the group and their musical growth since their debut E.P. back in 2019. "Where I'm From" brings the intense rifts and mantra chorus to the forefront with the lyrical sentiment cementing the group and their dedication to the art. Zulu changes the formula up by also including a beautiful beat switch-up in the last thirty seconds of the track.

The video is a stunning homage to A Tribe Called Quests' "Scenario" video while bringing all their friends to the mix. One is the eclectic Eric Andre who brings a chaotic energy to the mix.

"Where I'm From" comes in lieu of the group's debut LP A New Tomorrow,  out March. 3rd via Flatspot Records.
