The Utah-based alt-indie band Krooked Kings recently shared a new single, "Carbon Monoxide"- heating up the airwaves and gaining traction on the internet before pairing the track with a highly emotive, narrative-based music video.
Their latest song, "Carbon Monoxide", is a poignant, airy collaboration with critically acclaimed indie artist Day Wave, which puts the audience in the backseat ride of an emotional rollercoaster seeing a man driving anxiously on a mountain road when suddenly a hand grabs his shoulder, revealing a female in the backseat appearing pregnant. It is a moment intended to capture and amplify the feeling of uncertainity, panic, unknowingness, strength, and fear, all in a matter of a few seconds.
The music video was directed and produced by Danny Pollack (Oliver Tree, Gryffin, John K), stars Casey Diedrick (CW's In The Dark, MTV's Teen Wolf, Eye Candy) and Caitlin Fowler (Entourage, 30 Rock), who deliver astonishing acting performances. Krooked Kings are hunkering down and focusing on recording their second LP, which is slated to be released in 2023. releases.
