New Zealand-based The Veils return with an expansive indie rock single "No Limit of Stars". The track is the second off of their upcoming new album which took over six years to create.
With "No Limit of Stars", The Veils have crafted an existential narrative of contemplation. From examining existence, death, birth and how vast the universe is, "No Limit of Stars" is a deep and relatable narrative of trying to find one's place in this universe. Lyrics including, " I raised my eyes to the sky and I saw no limit of the stars / we don't live long beneath no limit of stars", show the acknowledgment of how immeasurable the cosmos and life as we know it is. Musically, "No Limit of Stars" is a kaleidoscope of lush strings, bright keys and seductive guitar riffs. Finn Andrew's deep vocals penetrate and sing cathartic melodies full of fervor. The music video was shot entirely on 16mm film and features the band performing against a space themed backdrop with cuts of provocative old film images.
The Veils have been creating and releasing music since 2003. After a six-year hiatus the band is back sharing music leading up to their full-length album And Out Of The Void Came Love. The Veils are known for their cinematic and layered indie rock. The band has attracted attention from the likes of David Lynch, Paolo Sorrentino, Tim Burton who have used their music in various films.
