Los Angeles-based indie rocker Social Drag has just shared her latest single. Called "Drug Like You", the alt-rock banger is the second track ever released following "Spark" from this rising artist.
"Drug Like You" is a brilliant depiction of infatuation, the kind that can often take place when falling for a new love. Detailing that all too relatable feeling of complete and utter intoxication and wanting to be by their side 24/7, Social Drag takes the listener straight back to their first love and the all enveloping lust that can ensue. Lyrics including, "Feels like I’m tripping / Losing sight of real life / I don’t care, that’s alright / I’m addicted to the things that you do to me", shows how all consuming new love can be. Sonically, "Drug Like You" features 90's inspired grunge guitar riffs, infectious melodies and a hard hitting chorus full of fervor.
Social Drag is the project of singer/songwriter and instrumentalist Emily Hulslander. The talented musician is also half of Americana meets rock duo Guyville who have been making waves in the Southern California indie scene. "Drug Like You" is off of her upcoming self-titled debut EP slated for release early next year. Take a listen to "Drug Like You" and don't get too carried away with your feelings.
