South London ‘Afro-R&B’ pioneer, singer and producer Maleek Berry makes a return to the front with his new single "My Way". The song helps break his short hiatus and once again reminds fans of his influential status as a producer and artist in the afropop and R&B sphere. The song is a celebration of love in his own unique way as he pours adulation on a lady who caught his eye and he attempts to convince her to swing his way.
The self-produced tune is bouncy and ripe with catchy melodic stylings and his signature vocal inflection and his stylish way of interpolating a familiar melody also make for a great listen. It's a smooth blend of the old and new as Maleek brings a certain warmth to the fore with the alluring vocals and playful lyrics as well.
"My Way" is a brilliant return for the Clapham-born and raised Nigerian artist who started producing grime beats in secondary and ended up working for superstars such as WizKid, Davido and others.
