Long Island punk quintet Half Dizzy reminds us that we are better off alone than being in some relationships on “Never Been Happier.” The track encourages us to get out of relationships where you’re being taken advantage of, reminding us not to confuse being used with being loved.
Juxtaposing the sombre message, the track is accompanied by a fun, DIY-style music video, where the purposefully inject carefree energy and humour as a way to cope with trauma and stress.
Speaking of the video, the band say,“We love to fool around and lighten the mood with comedy, which is what this video is about. The message is very important and serious, but it’s delivered in a comedic way to help lighten the blow of what this song says.”
