West Coast rapper Rxtherapper has been coasting on his numerous singles, and freestyles and even recently made his acting debut in the Kappin TV series. He now returns with another collaboration with hard-working producer/Dj Teck-Zilla, the pair worked on RX's last single "Do Me Wrong" alongside Nigerian rapper Fecko and Dax Empire. The song in question is titled "The Best Emcees" and it's a full-on verbal assault bringing together Ghanaian/American lyricist Recognize Ali, UK’s Da Flyy Hooligan, Detroit’s super lyricist Elzhi (of SlumVillage fame).

The dark gritty record is as brooding as they come and starts off with Recognize Ali's deep vocals and his stylish lyricism that startle the mind. Lines like "Know the penalty, when you cross the line of scrimmage/My shooter's sinners, popeye's for the spinach" set the tone in Ali's vivid style. This is followed by Rxtherapper's animated melodic chorus as Da Fly Hooligan continues the fray in the second verse as he fuses luxurious rhymes with a dash of street edge with rhymes like "First class tickets for a couple weeks in Birkbeck, I'm nice if you cut the right check, might get my respect but just remember there's a gun by your leg". Elzhi helped close out the record with a brilliant set of different rhyme schemes ranging from ice, vinyl and taking chances with a dice roll and calls it a day with his closing lines "My poetry is that deep from a pen that I slow stroke/ My mind is so woke, I'm laughing at sleep" right before the beat switches into a smooth jazz groovy tune.

“The Best Emcees” is Teck-Zilla’s follow-up single to the previously released “Los tres Grandes” which featured John Jigg$, Revalation and Nolan The Ninja.

Rx recently put out his album The Elixir via BOK ENTERTAINMENT. He is also working on his forthcoming collaborative EP Life after Life with production crew 80 Empire.
