Blues infused garage-rockers The Footlight District deliver powerful track “Lightning,” led by soaring vocals and intricate instrumentation hinged off their anthemic sonic signature.
Coming to life as a collaboration with Band of Skulls’Russell Marsden, the track blends an alt-rock flare to an electronic backdrop, as the Chicago-based trio of siblings continue to establish their musical prowess through passionate, tight-knit harmonies.
From their first two albums to their more recent earworm singles “Hush,” and “War Paint,” The Footlight District are bound together not just by their love for music but by the struggles they’ve overcome. Ending up homeless for a period after Hurricane Katrina back in 2005, the band have risen above their challenges through creativity and communication as their pillars – both in life and in music.
Currently on tour, taking their expansive sound to the stage, The Footlight District are quickly rising to the top.
