Known for his irresistibly mellow pop tones and soulful vocal energy, singer-songwriter Sid Seth is emerging exceptionally back into the scene with his new single “Simple Yet True.” The nostalgia-fuelled offering explores the childlike wonder of creation, showcasing Seth’s ability to bring concepts to fruition in a completely unique way.
Originally from Ahmedabad, Gujarat in India, he moved to New York to study at the Manhattan School of Music. However, as the bustling city fell quiet in the depths of lockdown, the multi-instrumentalist suddenly found himself alone and started looking for his next creative outlet. Seth explains, “I wasn’t sure what to do so I started painting. As a child, fine art was something I really enjoyed but I hadn’t held a brush for years. As I started mixing colors, I saw an image that took me back to childhood. It brought me immense joy as it was a forgotten memory with my family.”
Finding familial comfort in a time bygone, Sid Seth’s musical ingenuity came to life. His encapsulation of sentiment explores the idea that people eventually find their own stories in art. As his intricate vocal energy soars atop tender acoustics and mellow melodies, “Simple Yet True” offers a resonance to us all. Showcasing the ability to feel close to the ones you love, despite the physical distance that may part us, Sid Seth’s latest single intertwines warming melodies and melancholy alike. As he sings, “If you look inside these waters lies hope”, we’re reminded that his latest tune offers an optimistic discourse, one that solidifies his name as an outstanding emerging pop artist.
