George Miller, popularly known under the moniker Joji, is a multi-talented artist from Japan. He originally came to fame with his controversial youtube personality, “Filthy Frank”. He has since then moved on from this phase in his life and has decided to solely focus on creating music.
He recently released the massively loved track “Glimpse of Us” which gained alot of traction on the popular social media platform, Tik Tok. He has released another new track titled, “YUKON (INTERLUDE)”, leaving fans in anticipation for the release of his new album, SMITHEREENS which comes out on November 4th.
The song begins with a somber piano. Joji's voice comes in layers of beautifully stacked harmonies, creating an electric feel to the song. The piano eventually is joined by a punchy drum track that often includes breaks to keep the audience engaged. This song is no different than Joji's normal grim sound. The lyrics reflect Joji's journey in an “all-white truck” that he's driving. It is adamant that he has recently been hurt by someone. He describes his eyes as “low” meaning he's not focused on the road due to being preoccupied with his hurt feelings.
Joji has had three successful album releases so far and fans are anxiously waiting for what is to come next. His lyricism and overall mournful sound are extremely valuable and relatable to audiences everywhere making him a gem to many.
