Mult-talented personality Big Narstie keeps raising the stakes and has gone beyond having a larger-than-life personality on screen and behind the microphone. From hosting his own tv show to his comedic exploits and musical endeavours, the big man himself returns with yet another surprising release. In his new single titled "Groundwork", he calls up superstar singer Ed Sheeran and legendary NY lyricist Papoose to aid him with their talents. The aptly titled track is an aspirational anthem that explores the ups and downs of attaining success. Big Narstie sets it off with his booming vocals and shows us why there is no such thing as an overnight success rather it takes years of groundwork and perseverance. In true, Big Narstie fashion he also throws in some hilarious quips and ends it with a wish for the girl with the largest bhunda. Ed Sheeran is more than comfortable over the moody trap backdrop and glides with his silky melodic chorus while buttressing the message of putting in work. Paposse brings that NY swag to the track with a laidback flow and dynamic lyrical schemes
"Groundwork" is produced by Thornton Heath’s own Richard “RP9” Tucker.
Big Narstie continues to cement his reputation as one of the most forward-thinking artists in the UK right now, with the rapper developing his BAFTA Awards, RTS Awards and National Reality TV Awards winning The Big Narstie Show, presenting a weekly national radio show on BBC R1Xtra, and being the go-to guest for numerous UK TV shows. Big Narstie also stands as a key influence in the first wave of Grime and UK in the early 2000s, going on to collaborate with global superstars including Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams and Enter Shikari, whilst being named Best Grime Act at the Urban Music Awards five times, heralded as NOISEY’s Man of the Year and Personality of the Year at GRM Daily's Rated Awards.
