New York musician Homeschool drops soothing track "Next Day"

New York singer-songwriter Homeschool shares new single “Next Day,” a gentle offering about enjoying the fleeting beauty of the present moment. With a soothing acoustic-led soundscape, broken by soft beats and his quiet, lulling vocals, the track channels unpleasant feelings into a cathartic, feel-good release that leaves us feeling energized.

Taken from his latest EP  Homeschool: Book II, a reflective collection of songs that contemplate on memories, relationships and feelings, the track is a warm and human encapsulation of Homeschool’s freeing musicality, untethered by expectations, wants or needs.

Speaking of the track, Homeschool said: “I wrote “Next Day” instead of writing a song that I had been trying really hard to write, but was getting nowhere. I realized I was forcing it, attempting to make a song that was clever and beautiful – a song that could serve my own self-image. It didn’t work. “Next Day” began to emerge when I took breaks and it became a song about keeping the beauty that we discover close to the chest, if at least for a moment, before tossing it into the river of content.”

Musician Tom D’Agustino after extensive touring, writing and recording with his indie rock band, Active Bird Community, finds sonic and creative freedom as Homeschool, immersing not just his listeners but himself in a lively but laid-back musical world that leaves us feeling light and buoyant.
