Award-winning Nigerian Afropop rising star Bad Boy Timz, first blew up with his breakthrough hit "Check And Balance" and a debut self-titled EP. He followed his string of releases with hits like "Move" and "Loading" with afrobeats legend Olamide and now he returns with the video for his single "Iz Going". The guitar-driven mid-tempo jam is produced by Tempoe and sees Timz in full party mode as he delivers glorious sultry melodies ripe with catchy aesthetics and adulation-filled lyrics aimed at the lady who caught his eye.
The accompanying visuals for the single were shot on location in Lagos, Nigeria, and directed by Viktor Awuse for Ladder, Lex & Booker (Tems, Rema, Fireboy DML), who excellently bring the joyful Afropop track further to life, as it tells the classic boy-meets-girl story of Timz doing all he can to catch the attention of his leading lady.
Speaking about the inspiration behind "Iz Going", Bad Boy Timz says, “The title plays on a popular slang on the streets of Lagos, with a love story twist, and the video narrates a story of meeting someone you like, and doing all you can to get their attention.”
"Iz Going" is taken from Bad Boy Timz's debut album Young & In Charge, which is set for release in the autumn with EMPIRE.
