South California band The Millennial Club drops infectious four-track collection on EP When It’s Just You & I, taking us through a soothing yet exuberant sonic journey built on their signature 80s pop and 90s R&B sound. With melodic vocals woven with synth-tinged instrumental, the EP is an emotive and atmospheric production that leads through ebbs and flows of the trio’s musicality.
Opening with the gentle, whispered stylings of “xx,” before smoothly moving into the love-drenched “hold you again,” the EP establishes the pull of enchanting vocals in the first two tracks before revealing their sonic versatility on the hazy production “sleepless,” closing off with layered, hypnotic sound of the title track.
Flowing gently with calming lull from beginning to end, the EP is a soft and emotional production that still manages to highlight the band’s vocal range.
