Brighton-based act GIYA pays ode to the lives not lived and those who’ve lost their way on “foggy hearts,” her silken vocals bringing an emotional message to life over a soundscape of melodic guitars.

Despite being steeped in raw vulnerability that comes with looking back at the people you’ve lost along the way, the poetic and seemingly sad production is actually hopeful at its heart, reminding us that there’s always something to look forward to even if it hope seems like a pointless exercise sometimes.

Crafted with care and expertise aided by producer Scoop Monty, the track which was the first sonic exploration for the rising musician upon her move from London to Brighton, makes for an enticing glimpse into her new EP Odd Fish, bringing her trademark fusion of cultures, music and entertainment framed by GIYA’s ability to contemplative yet witty.
