British-Nigerian performing artist, songwriter, and musician AdeJosh started his musical journey in his local church, where he developed a penchant for creating music for the soul. Shaped by his East London upbringing and Nigerian heritage, AdeJosh comes with a unique sound and musical direction that excellently blends UK afro-swing, dancehall, afrobeats, hip-hop, and R&B together to perfection. His debut EP Confident set the stage for the young artist, and now he returns with the sophomore project All For Me. The 4-track body of work sees him reuniting with long-time collaborator and producer ATG Musick, who helps craft the perfect soundscape for his infectious melodic raps. Thematically, the EP also sees AdeJosh going back to the beginning in another full-circle moment, as he embarks on a journey of self-discovery and truly understanding his self-value.
The All For Me EP opens confidently with the aptly titled "Intro", with AdeJosh in summer lover boy mode as he croons about “gyal dem season”, while showcasing his airy melodic flow and smooth vocal delivery. The infectious drums-heavy "My Own" unveils a more self-reflective AdeJosh, who understands the need to be by yourself sometimes. On "Chargie", he cleverly juxtaposes that position with a classic boy-meets-girl tale as he confesses his love for his “chargie”. The guitar-laden tune sees him pouring adulation on his "chargie" who has caught his eye and pours his heart on wax with his stylish melodic runs tinged with a slight patois inflection.
The EP closes out with AdeJosh putting his best foot forward for his leading lady on the bouncy title track "All For Me". Over lush and crisp textures and smooth afropop drums, the singer goes all out for his lady and reassures her that he will be there for her.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the All For Me EP, AdeJosh says, “the EP was inspired by a series of events that led me on a path of self-discovery and truly understanding my value. For me to know what I want ‘All For Me’, I had to know my heart's desires and what I deserve. I have grown to be more self-aware and understand my true value and worth as a person. The passion behind my music is giving my listeners the music that their souls can connect to; I want to use my music to translate and express emotions and take people through the journeys of life that we all encounter”.
